This week we begin a new series called, “Christ Revealed: Responding to Jesus in the Gospel of Mark.” If you were to open a Bible marking Jesus’ words in red, you would see that Jesus’ first words in the Gospel of Mark contain three commands: repent, believe, and follow. Right off the bat, Mark makes it clear that Jesus is calling us to respond to Him! When we look at these three commands, we find that responding to Jesus involves complete surrender. It is a redirecting of our lives to trust, worship, and obey our Savior Jesus Christ. No matter how many times we have heard the gospel, read the Bible, or attended church, we are prone to making Jesus an add-on or side quest to our lives.

Join us this Sunday as we discover the truth, that Jesus came to earth for a far greater reason than becoming a side quest or add-on to our lives. Jesus came to proclaim and provide salvation to you and me, and this can only be found when we turn to God in complete surrender.
