Happy Veteran's Day!

This weekend we honor our veterans, the men and women who stepped up when they were called upon to serve and protect their country. We pray that you will bless them for their unselfish service in the continual struggle to preserve our freedoms, our safety, and our country’s heritage, for all of us. Bless them abundantly for the hardships they faced, for the sacrifices they made for their many different contributions to America’s victories over tyranny and oppression. We pray that you will watch over and bless them with peace beyond understanding and a joy that can only come from you.

Child Dedication

Child Dedication Services give parents of young children a formal, public opportunity to dedicate their child to the Lord. They recognize their child as a gift from God. The parents publicly commit to providing a nurturing environment that encourages their child to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and to develop an ongoing relationship with Him. The church family commits to support the parents as they disciple their child. We are excited to pray for Myles Ott (Max & Lauren), Elijah Retzlaff (Kollin & Alyssa), Amelia Tourville (Mitch & Alyssa), Roman Jones (Rick & Molly), Thomas Keller (David & Hollie), and Anna Towns (Jacob & Carolyn).

Baptism

We believe, in accordance with the Lord’s command, Christians should be baptized as a public declaration of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Through baptism, Christians are proclaiming the spiritual reality of our death to sin and resurrection to new life in Christ. Believers being baptized: Zipporah Perkins, Esther Perkins, Kaleb Perkins, Andrew Tompkins, Garett Neff, Daniel Nystedt, Piper Krause, Quintin Oetken, Lucy Coggins, and Claire Coggins.

Book Sale

This Sunday, November 12 Our Resource Center is having a book sale to benefit the family Missions Trip to Mexico in December. Plan on spending a little time to grab some books for your personal library in Fellowship Center West (200) from 8:30am until Noon.

New Adult Equipping Classes start this Sunday.

In a church as large as Calvary, finding community can sometimes be difficult. That’s why CBC offers Sunday morning classes to equip adults for life and ministry. It’s a great way to develop friendships and grow deeper in your faith! Connect with a class that is relevant to your current stage of life. Whether you are recently a young adult, newly married, a parent with younger kids, or empty nesters and beyond, we have a LifeStage community waiting for you. While you might connect better with those in your LifeStage, you are welcome to join any class at any time!

Upcoming Class Schedule (starting November 12)

Young Adults: (Room 130) Book of Ruth
Newly Married: (Room 133) Randy Alcorn "Heaven" Video series
Community of Parents: (Room 131) Parables

  • Boxes will be available in the lobby and the hub after services and at various ministries throughout the week. Box collection Sunday is November 19.
  • You can also pack and send a shoebox online for just $25! Click the button below to pack a box now!
  • We have a goal as a church family of 1000 boxes. Be a part of this Christmas tradition to bring the Gospel to the end of the earth!
