Hearts of Hope
A Christ-centered 12 week class where you can find help, hope, and healing from childhood abuse, domestic violence, or rape.

“The Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. “ Isaiah 30:18

Hearts of Hope is a Christ-centered 12 week class where you can find confidential help, hope, and healing from any form of childhood abuse, domestic violence or rape. Hearts of Hope is a biblically-based program offered by Open Hearts Ministry which has been ministering to abuse survivors for over 30 years. Their program is in use throughout the United States and in over 30 countries. All local leaders have been trained by OHM. You can find more information at ohmin.org.

During each class we look at progressive issues along the way, such as defining abuse, looking at our childhoods, betrayal, abandonment, style of relating, shame, contempt, disappointment and redemption as these topics relate to abuse.

Because of the nature of the subject and a desire for safety, each class is limited to 8 participants and 2 leaders. This small size allows us to share our stories, engage our hearts in caring for each other, and to move forward in the healing process. This is not a drop in support group. It is a class that practices confidentiality with a commitment to attend all classes.

TESTIMONIES

  • “I struggled with anger and shame most of my life. This class put perspective on why and gave me the ability to overcome.”
  • “God took me to a level I didn’t know was hidden in my story. My leaders and group was amazing in drawing it out with love and compassion. My heart did a 180.”
  • “Before the class I thought I had recovered from my abuse because I felt no pain. After the class I now know that I was numb to the pain and also to joy. I now enjoy life more fully.”
