As the administrator of Fox Valley Christian Academy, Ron Halma has the opportunity to provide leadership to Calvary Bible Church’s ministry in Christian education. Being able to educate in the context of a God-honoring world and life view is a wonderful privilege that Ron has always felt a calling for. He began his career in Christian education as a teacher and loved his experiences. A desire to help his fellow teachers be all they could be in their classrooms prompted him to become a principal. School provides so many experiences for students and teachers alike to practice their Christian faith and grow in their knowledge and commitment to serve their Lord. Ron enjoys being a part of that learning process even though, at times, growth can be difficult and challenging.
Ron has served in several K-12 Christian schools over the past 40 plus years as teacher, coach, athletic director, principal, and superintendent. He has a BA degree in both elementary and secondary education as well as a masters in educational administration. Ron and his wife Judy have 3 grown children (all married) with 7 grandchildren. Traveling, dancing, working hard, and hosting parties are things they love to do together. They recently retired from 14 years of owning and operating two bed and breakfast homes in Appleton which will now afford them opportunities to do more traveling.
