Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is underway! This ministry provides gifts to children across the world, many with little or no access to the Gospel. Join us in sharing the joy of Christ's birth by packing a box with your family or small group. Here's three ways you can participate:

Boxes will be available in the lobby and the hub after services and at various ministries throughout the week. Box collection Sunday is November 20.
You can also pack and send a shoebox online for just $25! Click the button below to pack a box now!
And new this year, donate items for AWANA to pack shoeboxes. You can grab a donation card off the tree at the table in the lobby or click the button below with a link to a donation site. Donations need to be turned in by October 26 for the AWANA packing party on November 2.

We have a goal as a church family of 1000 boxes. Be a part of this Christmas tradition to bring the Gospel to the end of the earth!

Missions Weekend - November 4-6

Mark your calendars for the CBC Missions Weekend on November 4-6! We have several ways for you to participate:

Host a Missionary for Dinner on Friday (5-7pm) or Saturday (3:30-5pm). You and your family or small group can share a meal with one of our missionaries and catch up on what's happening in their life and ministry. There are only a few spots left, so don't delay!
Attend the Family Missions Event at 6pm on Saturday, November 5. We will have games and breakout sessions to learn from and pray for our missionaries. We will conclude the night with an ice cream social.
Attend Sunday morning services on November 6. We will have purposeful moments throughout the services and equipping classes, as well as tables for each of the missionary families, for you to be able to learn how God has been at work in their ministries recently.

Firm Foundations (New Believers Class)

Are you a new follower of Jesus or want to gain a better understanding of the stoy of redemption? Then join us for Firm Foundations! This ten-week class started last Sunday, but there's still time for you to join us in Room 112 at 9:45am. Starting in Genesis, we will discover the goodness of God, the effects of sin, and the salvation and restoration that is found in Jesus. This class is specifically designed for those new to the Christian faith but will be beneficial to anyone who wants to understand the story of the Gospel and be confident in sharing the good news of Jesus with others.

Ladies Christmas Tea Tickets On Sale Next Sunday, October 30

Ladies: This year's Christmas Tea is on Tuesday, December 6 at 6:30pm. Tickets go on sale next Sunday, October 30 in the Hub. We plan to have more tickets available this year, but they sell FAST! If you are planning to bring a neighbor, friend, or co-worker with you to enjoy the evening and hear the Good News of Christmas, make sure you get your tickets next Sunday!

Double Portion Needs Volunteers

Double Portion is a soup kitchen & pantry that serves the Fox Valley. Their mission is to serve others in His name by providing a well-balanced meal to those in need in a caring, supportive Christian atmosphere which shows concern for the whole person. They are in need of volunteers on Mondays or Thursdays. Pastor Appreciation Month

October is Pastor Appreciation Month. We are so thankful for our pastors and ministry directors who faithfully serve in the work of ministry. Take the opportunity to lift them up in prayer or offer them encouragement this week.
