Marriage mentors foster intentional “one on one” relationships with other couples, with the main goal of developing thriving, Christ-centered marriages.
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." Genesis 2:24
Marriage Mentoring Ministry
Our mentor couples have a reputation for living out a healthy Christ-centered marriage! They are trained ministry volunteers who have valuable tools to help you foster a healthy, thriving marriage. Mentors come alongside and build relationships with couples seeking mentoring to share real-life experiences and sharpen the Biblical, communication and life tools necessary for maintaining a healthy marriage relationship.
The Mentoring Process
The mentoring process typically takes about four months and couples ideally meet every other week in a home to foster open, honest, healthy dialogue about their marriage. Every couple has a unique, tailored experience in this program. Meeting times are flexible to accommodate busy schedules.
All mentoring sessions are strictly confidential.
Marriage Mentors, NOT Counselors
Mentors have a heart to encourage and equip couples to live out a Godly marriage. Whether you are just in the beginning phases of engagement, a recent newlywed or have been married for many years (or decades), your marriage can benefit richly from mentoring!
What Mentoring Looks Like
Marriage mentors guide couples through in-depth discussions on topics such as communication, conflict resolution, partner style & habits, finances, leisure activities, sexual expectations, family & friends, relationship roles and spiritual beliefs.
Pre-marital mentoring and pastoral pre-marriage counseling are required for any engaged couple who desires to have a CBC pastor officiate their ceremony.
- Marriage enrichment
Proactively spend time strengthening your marriage when you're not in the most difficult of times. It’s time well spent!
- Marriage reboot
When couples are facing deeper crisis, mentoring may be helpful in certain situations. CBC pastors and ministry supervisors will decide on a case by case basis when mentoring may be a good fit.
Take the next step to enriching your marriage!
- Contact a CBC pastor to determine if mentoring is a good fit for you.
- A marriage mentor supervisor will match you to a couple.
