CBC Men's Ministry is a brotherhood of men devoted to Jesus Christ who live out our faith and share the Gospel in word and action. Our goal is to challenge every man to take the next step as a follower of Jesus—whether that means getting connecting, sharing is service, or being a spiritual leader in our families, workplaces, and communities—by hosting large events, leading focused Bible studies, providing mentoring, and offering 1service and ministry opportunities for men.

Mens Retreat 2017

Guys, the CBC Fall Men's Retreat is September 29-30. Our focus? "Man Up!" As men, we have been charged by God to take responsibility of the spiritual leadership in our homes. Whether we are single or married, a father or grandfather or have no children, God's call applies to us. Our speaker, Dave Schroeder, will challenge us to man up to this responsibility and give us real-world applications to get us started.

Dave has served as missionary in Papua New Guinea, as the Dean of Single Men at New Tribes Institute in Waukesha, and is currently working on launching Mentoring Timothy, a rugged discipleship program for young men. He is passionate about preparing men for the challenges of marriage, family, work, and ministry.

This year's retreat features a revamped schedule based on your feedback. We have designed it to maximize our times of recreation, worship and learning. We've got a Pig Roast on the menu, and we are planning a volleyball tournament on Saturday!

The retreat will be at Bended Knee Ministries in Greenville, just ten minutes west of the Fox River Mall. Overnight camping is available, otherwise you can sleep in your own bed and drive back on Saturday morning. We start at 5 PM on Friday and wrap up by 4:30 PM on Saturday.

Paper registration will be available in the Campus Center starting September 10.

NEW GUYS: Because we think it is IMPORTANT for guys to connect and grow in their faith with other Christian men, we invite you to attend this year's retreat FREE of charge. Check the online registration for more information.

God has called the men of Calvary Bible Church to care for widows and single mothers in our church family. In May 2013, 38 men answered the call and formed our New Commandment Men's Ministry (NCMM).

The church continually identifies widows and single moms as candidates for NCMM care. To meet this need, the ministry is looking for additional men to volunteer their time. Three hours one Saturday a month is all that is required.

On the second Saturday of each month the men of the NCMM spend one hour in fellowship and prayer, followed by two hours at the home of an assigned care receiver. All men who participate in this ministry must undergo a background check and a brief training session before becoming a NCMM team member. Individual teams of four do a variety of chores around the home of their care receiver and also spend time developing spiritual relationships by sharing and praying with them.

If this sounds like a great ministry opportunity for you, please contact Steve Dreger with the information provided below. You will certainly be blessed!

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress." James 1:27a
